Aim and Scope:


Journal of Healthcare Sciences (JOHS) is a Saudi medical double blinded peer-reviewed healthcare and science journal for healthcare professionals from all fields of medical, healthcare and science which include and not limited to medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy and physiotherapy. It is the official journal of Medical Student Association (MSA), which is a non-profit organization regulated by the Ministry of Higher Educations with license number: 1000620500. Journal of Healthcare Sciences (JOHS) aims to improve the scientific quality of the papers with a peer review system aimed at alleviating the quality of the researches published in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the 2030 vision.

Monthly publication.

Open Access policy:


This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Journal of Healthcare Sciences (JOHS) publishes articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International
License, which permits unrestricted non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

For Reviewer:

  • All reviewers should provide unbiased review indicating the authenticity of the work, originality and its scientific accuracy.

  • All reviewer comments are saved anonymously and not published.

  • Reviewers are expected to destroy or permanently delete the work they are reviewing after the decision is made by the journal and not disclose it to any third party

  • Reviewers should report any conflict of interest related to the work presented in the manuscript.

  • Reviewers should follow the guidelines provided by Journal of Healthcare Sciences (JOHS)

For editors:

  • Editors should check for the scientific work and its significance and give their unbiased opinion to the editor in chief for the final decision

  • Editors should maintain the privacy of the work and not disclose it to any third party

  • A board meeting will be held with 2 weeks’ notice twice a year to discuss various matters regarding the journal.

Plagiarism screening:


Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and all the like misconducts are not tolerated. Plagiarism will not be tolerated or accepted and any authors who show any terms of misconduct may face ban from submitting to the journal again and retraction of any previous publications.

Human and Animal rights:

  • Published research must comply with the guidelines for human studies and animal welfare regulations-

  • All subjects must provide consent to be included in the research even if the they remain anonymous.

  • All research should be ethically approved by the appropriate body. The journal have the right to ask for any proof of the IRB copy if there is doubt in the authenticity of the work. failing to provide the proof with regards to any suspicious will lead to the rejection of work.

  • if any research shows falsification or inappropriate declaration, false information, or any type of information that can affect the journal in any way the research will be withdrawn even after its publication and no refunds will be given.
